Terms of Service

1. The service

grademark is a self-serve tool for K-12 teachers that generates report card comments from brief student notes you provide. You enter up to 40 students — each with a first name, grade level, and 2–5 brief notes — pick a tone, and pay $5. We generate comments in under a minute and deliver them as a hosted viewer page with individual copy buttons, plus a PDF download.

2. AI-generated content

The service uses automated systems and third-party AI providers. Comments are generated from the notes you supply. The model is instructed to use only what you write and to write in first-person teacher voice, but automated content can still miss the tonal mark, misread a note, or produce a comment that doesn’t fit a particular student. You should read all comments before using them in an official context.

3. Your submissions

You represent that you are authorised to submit the information you enter. Student first names and brief academic observations are appropriate. Do not submit sensitive personal data about minors beyond what is reasonably needed to produce a report card comment (e.g. diagnoses, family circumstances, sensitive behavioural information). Do not submit payment card numbers or third-party confidential material outside Stripe Checkout.

4. Pricing, delivery, and refunds

The current listed price for one class batch is $5 for up to 50 students, plus $0.20 per student above 50, unless a different price is shown at checkout. Delivery normally occurs through the order page and a delivery email after payment clears, typically within a minute.

Refunds are granted on verifiable conditions rather than a blanket time window:

• Verifiable failure. If our automated quality check rejects any comment in your batch, we issue an automatic full refund within 90 days of the order. You do not need to request it — the refund fires from your order page before the delivery email lands.
• Verifiable non-use. If our logs show you never opened the order page, the PDF, or the CSV after we generated them, you can issue yourself a one-click refund from the order page within 30 days of delivery.
• Other cases. If you have opened the delivered comments and still believe a refund is warranted, email grademark@forage.bot and we will work it out case-by-case. Refund processing is automated through Stripe and typically appears on your statement within 5–10 business days. Outside these conditions, refunds are discretionary except where non-waivable law requires otherwise.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use grademark to generate content intended to harass, demean, or misrepresent any student. Do not enter information you know to be false and intended to produce a misleading or harmful comment. Do not use the service in violation of applicable law, including privacy laws that govern student data in your jurisdiction.

6. License to output

Subject to these terms and payment of applicable fees, you may use, print, and incorporate the delivered comments into report cards or school records as part of your professional work as a teacher. We retain all rights in the service itself, including the site, prompts, software, and operating methods.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, grademark is provided “as is” without warranties, and our total liability for any claim related to the service will not exceed the amount you paid for the specific order giving rise to the claim.
