Privacy Policy

This policy explains what grademark collects when you generate report card comments, how we use it, and how long we keep it. Questions can be sent to grademark@forage.bot.

1. Information we collect

  • Your email address, so we can send you the finished comments PDF and hosted viewer link.
  • Student first names, grade levels, and the brief notes you enter about each student. We use these only to generate that one batch of comments. We never receive or store identifying information beyond what you type.
  • Your chosen tone (warm / professional / formal).
  • Payment and order metadata such as purchase time, price, refund status, and Stripe identifiers.
  • The generated comments and the PDF artifact, stored for as long as you need to copy them or re-download the PDF.
  • Feedback and support messages you send through the site or by email.
  • Basic technical logs such as IP address, user agent, request path, timestamps, and diagnostic metadata generated when the site is used.

2. How we use information

  • To generate the report card comments you asked for, drawing only on the notes you supplied.
  • To process payments, refunds, and delivery emails.
  • To operate, secure, debug, and improve the service.
  • To answer support requests and review product feedback.
  • To maintain accounting, tax, and legal records.

We do not sell personal information or use third-party ad trackers on the site. We do not contact students or their parents — only the teacher purchasing the service ever receives messages from us.

3. Providers we use

  • Stripe for payment processing and refunds.
  • Vercel for hosting, server functions, blob storage, and privacy-focused site analytics.
  • Resend for transactional delivery emails.
  • OpenRouter and one or more upstream language model providers to generate comments from the notes you provide.
  • GitHub for internal issue tracking tied to feedback and support workflows.

4. Retention

Your order record stores the student notes you entered along with the generated comments for as long as we need it to let you re-open the viewer, re-download the PDF, issue a refund, and keep accounting / tax records. We do not use your student data for any other customer’s order.

Generated output, order metadata, refund records, and delivery artifacts may remain in our system for support, accounting, security, or legal reasons.

5. Your choices

Only enter information you are authorised to use in this context (student first names and brief academic observations are appropriate; do not enter sensitive personal classifications). If you want us to remove an existing order, contact grademark@forage.bot. We will review the request subject to legal, accounting, fraud, and operational retention needs.
